Generalife was the sultan's summer residence outside the walls of the fortress and
palace complex of the Alhambra
(slide show), but on the same hill. The marvellous gardens with an abundance of flowers, lovely fountains and basins have you feel like in paradise and are a masterpiece of horticulture.
